Grading
Why I chose the item:
I would like to use this book to refer back to while teaching. One of the things I would keep close to refer back to is the different ways the book discusses on grading. These are in Chapters 7-9 and will be a quick easy tool to refer to when needed. The other thing I liked from this book is when it discussed when and how the students should be able to redo their work. I really liked how the book emphasized how it is important to know that every student learns in different ways.

Why I chose this item:
I would like to use this grading rubric to use when grading my students on a fast and quick assignment, when not too much feedback is needed. This allows the students to assess themselves along with having their peers give them feedback on their work and learn from one another. This rubric also allows me to see which task level the student is on at the time. Once we have assessed where they are we can make appropriate goals for that individual student. I chose to include this artifact because it is a simple yet informative assessment for grading the individual. It is also an easy rubric to help see which level your student is on.
